ThinCats team take on marathon trek for Mind
A team of ThinCats staff set off for a 26-mile hike to raise funds for mental health charity, Mind, from ThinCats’ head office in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire at 8.30am on Thursday, 8 July in glorious sunshine.
The initial route took the walkers out to pretty Derbyshire town, Melbourne, via the Cloud Trail, a disused railway line that once connected Derby with Worthington and the Cloud Quarry. The route then passed through local country estate, Staunton Harold, with good views of the striking church at Breedon on the Hill for much of the way.
After a quick refuelling stop back at the office, the team set off to Leicestershire village, Packington, looping back via the local cycling centre at Hick’s Lodge before returning to the office for the final time along Ashby’s Market Street.
13 completed the full 26 mile distance, and the sponsorship total for the team currently stands at £1127 – you can still support their efforts via this link.
