We are delighted to have supported two further acquisitions for rapidly growing MSP Redsquid, as it continues to execute an ambitious buy and build strategy.

The acquisitions of Computer Security Technology (CST) and Penstone Communications mark Redsquid’s fourth and fifth acquisitions in the last 12 months and propels the comms and IT specialist’s headcount to 82.

Founded 27 years ago, CST provides managed services and consultancy focused on defending against digital threats and vulnerabilities. With this acquisition, Redsquid is integrating CST’s Liverpool Street-based office into its portfolio, as the company continues to broaden its geographical footprint.

Redsquid quickly followed up its CST deal by acquiring Penstone Communications, in a move that bolsters its capability to deliver telecommunications and network services across the region and nationwide.

It also sees its UC specialist team add six new members to the group, with skills from mobility to cyber security, and welcoming 100 new customers into the Redsquid Community. Penstone is a long-term Gamma, further establishing the Gold Partnership Redsquid already has in place with the vendor. Together, the group now further increases its capabilities within UC services as it gets ready for the upcoming PSTN switch off in 2027.

Owned by founders Sohin Raithatha and Vince Mignacca, Redsquid secured a new lender to “supercharge” its M&A strategy in the shape of ThinCats in November 2024.

Welcoming both CTS and Penstone into the Redsquid Community significantly enhances our expertise and capabilities in telecom and network infrastructure. We would like to thank ThinCats for supporting our vision for the future and look forward to continuing this journey together.Sohin Raithatha, CEO of Redsquid
