We are delighted to have provided a significant funding facility to support care home operator The Crossroad group in their acquisition of two new homes from the Four Seasons group.
The existing portfolio consists of a mixture of 1st generation purpose-built homes and renovated residential buildings, offering high levels of ensuite provision. Hoyland Hall and Royal Court in Barnsley and The Laurels all provide residential dementia care for the elderly and have high occupancy levels.
In 2022 the group acquired Independence With Care which comprises The Shires and Worstead Lodge based in North Walsham, Norfolk. These homes provide specialist care to individuals with learning disabilities, who need lifelong care and support.
The recent funding has supported the acquisitions of two first-generation purpose-built properties from the Four Seasons sell-off; Swan House, a Cambridgeshire based home and Melton House located in Norfolk.
The acquisitions will bring the enlarged group up to 7 homes with capacity for more than 230 beds.
Our opportunity to expand was clearly understood by ThinCats, who were agile to support us with growth capital in a tight timeframe. The package offered was bespoke and met all of our requirements. It has been great to work with Richard, Stephen and their healthcare team on these acquisitions, which represent an important milestone in our journey.Dragos Baciu, Founder, The Crossroad Group
Richard Henshaw, ThinCats commented: “We are delighted to have supported Dragos, David, Garry and the expert team at Crossroad who continue to provide an impeccable service and quality care to all their residents.
