David Griffiths set up Sterling Capital Reserve Ltd (SCR) over 10 years ago, in order to offer the services of a Commercial Finance Brokerage to the professional arena.
David qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst & Young, before moving on to become Corporate Finance partner at Haines Watts.
After a period of time in lead advisory for Management Buy Outs, Corporate Acquisitions and Mergers, David set up a new brand (SCR), in order to offer corporate finance services to a number of accountancy practices that didnt have the skill base in house.
Corporate Finance advice is typically aimed at small / medium SMEs with turnover between £500k and £5m, often this sector falls below the radar of many of the Corporate Finance departments of accountancy practices.
Over the last 10 years, David has also established SCR as one of the leading Commercial Finance Brokerages in the Midlands.
The brokerage side of the business employs 7 professional staff (predominantly from the banking sector) that arrange Commercial Mortgages, Development Finance, Asset Finance, Factoring and Trade Finance.
As brokers SCR are able to utilise the services of many lenders that are only accessible through established Commercial Finance Brokers.
SCR are therefore in an ideal position to assist clients with future funding requirements and blend the different products available to suit each clients requirements, utilising Davids accountancy and corporate finance experience to ensure a successful outcome.
David is a great advocate of using individuals to assist in lending to businesses, having already set up Strata Finance Ltd, a mechanism whereby individuals lend behind banks against property.
SCR are based in Nottingham, and are ideally located to look at assisting businesses predominantly in the East Midlands.
