Becoming a Lending Member

Lending Membership is free to qualifying members and there is no obligation for members to place any bids or make any loans. However, Members need to put at least £1,000 in to their Client Account to have full access to the auctions and information about new lending opportunities.

Before you can take part in an auction you will need to have Registered AND transferred funds into your client account ready to make bids.

HOW TO REGISTER:

Enter an Organisation Name

Registration for the auction system requires that all users are attached to an organisation.

If you invest as an individual then you will still need to provide an Organisation Name below. For example if you are an individual called "Fred Smith" then you might choose an organisation name like "Fred Smith Investments." Individuals are essentially treated like sole trader businesses by the system.

As a user of the system all your investment activities will be undertaken on behalf of the organisation to which you belong. This makes it possible for companies, investment clubs as well as individuals to have multiple users who are authorised to make investments on behalf of their organisation.

Organisation names have to be unique within the system.

Enter a User Name

Enter a user name, this may or may-not be your real name. However user names:

  • Must be 8 or more characters long.
  • May contain spaces.
  • Must not start or end with a space, these will be trimmed!
  • User names have to be unique within the system.

Enter a Password

Enter a secret password that will enable you to log into to the system. Never share you password with other individuals and do not do anything that may compromise the password.

Please note:

  • Passwords must be 8 or more characters long.
  • It is strongly recommended that you use a mixture of uppercase, lowercase, numerals and punctuation characters in your passwords.
  • Must not start or end with a space, these will be trimmed!
  • DO NOT LOSE OR FORGET your password, they cannot be recovered, only reset by an administrator.

The final step is to submit the above information.

You will then be required to accept or reject the Terms and Conditions before entering the application where you will then need to fill out other details about yourself and your organisation.
